COACH: Volker Heistermann was vice president at Rutberg & Co., a boutique investment bank in the mobile telecommunications industry with offices in San Francisco and Boston. His clients included Nokia, QUALCOMM, KPMG, Admob, Greystripe and Morgenthaler Ventures.As angel investor, entrepreneur, and manager at Fortune 100 company AT&T, Volker has been involved in the mobile and wireless space during his 15 years in Silicon Valley and most recently in Taiwan.

Volker organizes the MobileMonday Taipei Chapter and Startup Weekend Taipei/Hsinchu events, brought Startup Labs to Taiwan and is advisor at Mobile Metrix, a social venture incubated at Stanford University.

  COACH: Maryam Al Saeed started her career in Bahrain Development Bank at Bahrain Business Incubator Center and then in the Business Advisory unit. Maryam has 5 years of experience in advisory and consultation services. Being part of the advisory unit Maryam has gained experience in Business counseling for new and existing ventures as well as Entrepreneurship promotion and training
  COACH: Budoor Kamal is an Assistant Manager at the Business Advisory Unit in Bahrain Development Bank (BDB). She started her career in the Business Advisory Unit supporting entrepreneurs in the process of starting a business and providing further assistance through counseling, linkages and networks with SME supporting institutions, and training programs.Her daily involvement with entrepreneurs fall under support in business idea identification, business planning, and access to finance. In addition, Budoor conducts numerous presentations to promote BDB’s products and services, introduce entrepreneurship and build further awareness, development of business plan, train the trainers, etc. These are conducted at schools, universities, events on entrepreneurship and SME development, and through the entrepreneurship training programs offered by BDB. She also has experience in developing and managing special schemes that are related to supporting entrepreneurship in various areas. Budoor is responsible of the SME Support Group quarterly meetings, a member of the Advisory Committee in Tenmou (business angels company) and a member of the Distressed Tenants Committee at Bahrain Business Incubator Centre (BBIC). Being in the field of entrepreneurship for four years, Budoor has gained significant experience and is dedicated in supporting youth entrepreneurs to bring out their ideas and convert them into reality. Budoor graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Information Systems and MSc in Information Systems Management from Brunel University, UK. She has also attended infoDev Business Incubation Management Training (modules 1,2,6).
